"Weird California"

This day was inspired by the book that Steve gave Jessica for Christmas this past year. We had fun going to see a couple of the "weird" sights that were listed in the book.

Jessica & Eric by the Sutros Baths.

Overlooking the Sutros Baths

In a cool tunnel

After Jessica had dropped Em's sandal in the muck.

The "Seal" that Jessica spotted.

Eric loves ice plant. Anytime that he sees it, he has to jump on it. He has done it in Monterey while riding his bike and here he has found some and of course has to jump on it!!??!!!!

Emily and Jessica in front of their respective San Fransisco houses.

The Seagull that became friends with Eric because he was feeding him grapes. Then he turned on us and stole our whole bag of sandwiches. Luckily, we had already eaten all that we wanted!!!

Jess enjoying the wave organ!

The "Alcatraz Swimmers" reliving the fun memories!!!

If you look very closely for the two little pink spots in the picture, you can spot the two "nudies" on the beach. We thought it was kind of funny and we thought of our New Year's Eve fun also!

The Family with San Francisco in the background.

Again Eric enjoying the ice plant.

More fun with the family (This is almost a rear shot??!!???)
We had stopped at a motel to find out about a ghost tour and then Emily asked them about seeing a sign posted for a certain lady and the person said that he didn't know about that, but that there was a sign across the street that might be the one. When Emily went to check, it was not the one that she was looking for, but instead was this plaque that states that this was the house where President Wilford Woodruff died. How "weird" is that!!!!!

A cool building at Howard & 6th street with all of the furniture looking like it is being thrown out of the windows. "Weird"!!!!
Our last stop was at Hunter's Point where we were trying to find an abandoned neighborhood. In the book it said to be aware of shootings and so it was kind of an adventure. We thought that this might be part of the neighborhood, but then realized later that it might have been torn down. All in all, it was a fantastic day!!!!
